Based on the results of a recent Ipsos poll conducted for Global News, it appears as though Ontario’s Progressive Conservative Party could form a majority government after the upcoming election.
The survey of residents in the Greater Toronto Area found that the PC party maintained their lead with 39% support. The provincial Liberals came in second with 32% and the NDP trailed at 25%.

U.S. gun manufacturers, as well as sporting goods retailers like Dick's, are bracing for hard financial times in the wake of the call for tighter gun control laws following the mass shooting at a Florida high school.
However, some are suggesting that these industries need not fear the U.S.-wide student movement that is demanding tougher gun purchase legislation.

A coalition of First Nations communities in Canada has started a GoFundMe campaign to raise money to fight the federal government in court over its tanker ban in British Columbia.
Meanwhile, plans continue to push forward the $16 billion proposed Eagle Spirit pipeline, a First Nation-led project that would bring oil from Alberta to the northern West Coast.
