Global News: German businesses, public institutions urged to cap heat this winter to save gas. Set thermostats no higher than 19 degrees Celsius. traffic lights in some Berlin intersections turned off at night, heating of non-commercial private pools should be banned and comon areas of public buildings should not be heated at all. Public billboards should have their lights turned off during nightime hours. Germany wants 20% reduction of gas use. Remainder of EU by 15%, but that's not the entire story.
