Book banning and removal from library shelves. In Peel Region, Ontario. The group Libraries not Landfills is challenging the Peel District School Board removing books published prior to 2008.
Meanwhile in California, Governor Gavin Newsom announced this week that schools blocking textbooks and school library books addressing anti-discrimination laws will be fined.
In Illinois, school and public libraries will lose state funding for pulling books off the shelves.
