Over 5 million children die from preventable causes each year worldwide. 64 million children lack access to primary education. 150 million children in the world have disabilities. Latin America and the Caribbean are home to approximately 10% of the world's adolescents, and these regions account for 50% of the world's child murders. 15 million adolescent girls between the ages of 15 - 19 are estimated to have experienced forced sex in their lifetimes. Now six child-focused organizations have formed a partnership to address the direct needs of children worldwide.
