Parliamentary Budget Officer: report on house price assessment and a household's capacity to borrow and pay for their homes in selected cities across Canada. - PBO told Senate banking committee the impact of rising interest rates will double government debt charges within 4 years and supercede the military budget. - PBO says Canada would need to spend an additional $75 billion on the military over the next five years in order to meet our NATO obligation of spending 2% of GDP on defence. - the PBO also has made available to political parties a public debt calculator which costs their suggested initiatives/programs. - As well something called the Ready Reckoner.
