Pointed exchanges concerning China's interference in Canadian general elections 2019 & 2021 were delivered at Question Period in parliament between Conservative Party of Canada leader Pierre Poilievre and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau over what the Liberals and Trudeau knew and/or didn't know. The issue continues at the Procedure and House Public Affairs (PROC) and Ethics parliamentary committees. Opposition parties voted for a public inquiry into the matter. PM Justin Trudeau instead announced a special 'rapporteur' into election interference will be named.
Meanwhile, China Friday insisted Canada is smearing China's reputation over the presence of Chinese police stations within Canada. And almost four years after two scientists with ties to China were fired and walked out of Canada's most secure bio-lab in Winnipeg the RCMP investigation into their activities has still not been concluded
