Show Notes

Canada's business community is challenging PM Justin Trudeau on this country's failing to meet 2% of GDP on military spending as demanded by membership in NATO. The Business Council of Canada president/CEO Goldy Hyder sent a letter to Trudeau urging him to meet the NATO military spending requirement. - Following the NATO meetings this past week in Washington, during which Trudeau made vague reference to Canada meeting the 2% military spending standard by 2032, Goldy Hyder and the BCC responded with 1: the PM's announcement fell short. 2: National security and economic security now go hand in hand. 3: Canada's global sanding is directly proportional to how the U.S. views us. 4: Why defence spending matters to business leaders.

Guest: Goldy Hyder. President/CEO, Business Council of Canada.
