The conversation black fathers in the United States have with their sons over interaction with U.S. police. In the wake of the brutal beating by five Memphis police officers on Tyre Nichols which resulted in the death of Nichols and the firing of the five officers who also face murder charges, the issue of the conversation black fathers have with their sons over how to engage U.S. police officers in the event the sons are faced with direct police scrutiny is being discussed. We speak with a black father about that conversation he had with his son. A conversation he first shared on RGS a number of years ago.
