This week BC announced it will sue big pharma manufacturers of opioids because of “increased deaths of those addicted.” Meanwhile, intractable patients continue to suffer and some have taken their own lives when they were no longer able to receive the treatment and medication that made their pain manageable. Pharmacists are reportedly ignoring doctor’s prescriptions, refusing to provide opioids in some parts of Canada. Roy speaks wtih Tina Petrova about her new documentary focussed on the lives of those with chronic pain. Later they are joined by Suzanne Stewart, who is facing terrrible choices in light of recent developments.
