Carol and Lyle Brons are the parents of 24-year-old Dayna Brons, athletic therapist for the Humboldt Broncos who was among those killed in the horrific bus crash in Saskatchewan last year. They talk about the week-long sentencing hearing for Jaskarit Singh Sidhu in Melfort, Saskatchewan and the heartbreak of the families who lost loved ones or experienced loved ones suffering life-altering injuries.

Scott Newark, former Alberta prosecutor and executive director of Canadian Police Association, speaks on the seven week wait for Jaskarit Singh Sidhu’s sentence to be delivered. Why put the families through two months of emotionally being left on hold? Singh Sidhu will likely be deported as well, but he will have direct say in when that happens.

Stephen Laskowski, President of the Canadian Trucking Alliance, discusses Canada's trucking industry as Canada watches the Humboldt Broncos crash sentencing. What is the horror of that tragedy signaling to Canada's trucking industry? What needs to be done in terms of licensing and regulations, especially when it comes to companies that are ignoring safety standards?

This week, Bruce McArthur pleaded guilty to eight counts of first-degree murder in connection with a decade of homicides tied to Toronto’s gay village. Roy is joined by Peter Vrosky, who has written best-selling books on serial killers, including “Serial Killers: The Method and Madness of Monsters”.

Guest: Peter Vrosky, Journalist, Ryerson University instructor, filmmaker and author from Toronto, author of “Serial Killers: The Method and Madness of Monsters”, “Female Serial Killers: How and Why Women Become Monsters” and “Sons of Cain: A History of Serial Killers From the Stone Age to the Present”

Ron Joyce, co-founder of Tim Hortons, died on Thursday at the age of 88. He’s remembered for creating a national way of life that made the "double-double” so well-known and loved. Fred Anderton joins Roy Green to remember his life and legacy.

Guest: Fred Anderton, CEO of Videobio.ca, former Hamilton television reporter, and friend to Ron Joyce
