The Roy Green Show Podcast

The confirmation vote for Judge Brett Kavanaugh has been delayed for one week. During that time, the FBI will investigate the accusation that he sexually assaulted Dr. Christine Ford. Roy looks at how the FBI investigation will go forward from here, what the FBI is able to do and how much investigating can actually be done in a week.

Later, how much crisis management will be needed for the senators and others involved in the Kavanaugh hearing? And how does crisis management or “damage control” work?

Terri-Lynne McClintic’s move to a lower-security Indigenous healing lodge is considered a travesty of justice by many. It is, however, not too unusual a decision from Correctional Services Canada. Scott Newark joins the show to explain why child-killers like McClintic, Harold Smeltzer and Karla Homolka receive favourable treatment.

Canada’s small business community is facing shake-ups in the form of uncertainty surrounding the Trans Mountain Pipeline extension’s future, the current lack of a NAFTA resolution, and the legalization of marijuana offering opportunities to entrepreneurs. Meanwhile in Ontario, the Ford government will not proceed with raising minimum wage in 2019, and Alberta small business confidence is the lowest in the nation.

During the parliamentary hearings on Bill C-75, Liberal MP Randy Boissonnault, a member of the parliamentary committee, appeared to pay no attention to Canadian mother Sheri Arsenault, who was there to testify her concerns about the bill; it seemed as if MP Boissonnault spent most of his time fixated on his two phones.
