Federal Ethics commissioner Mary Dawson wants to speak with Minister of Finance Bill Morneau about his 2015 stock trades. But others have questioned the ethics of the Ethics Commissioner.
Duff Conacher, co-founder of Democracy Watch, has pointed out that since her appointment in 2007, Mary Dawson has cleared 95% of the people accused of unethical behavior. Conacher also questions why the Trudeau government has issued Mary Dawson three consecutive six month extensions of her contract, each worth $100,000.
