The Roy Green Show

The federal government has announced that large industrial companies in Canada will see a lower carbon emissions limit. What will be the impact of this on both the national and provincial economies? We get a response from the Premier of Saskatchewan, who has refused to support Ottawa's carbon tax demands from the get-go.

Honouring Women first responders, many of whom do not receive nearly enough support. Former RCMP Corporal Catherine Galliford and retired CAF Physician Dr. Karen Breeck join Roy, to discuss a new program which helps women first responders living with PTSD. They also talk about Krista Carle, a courageous Canadian who defended women from sexual harassment within the RCMP.

Continuing the conversation started in the podcast on July 29, Roy talks with Beth, an intractable pain patient who was met with indifference when she phoned the number set up by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.

Roy addresses the comments made in an online conversation by Veterans Affairs Minister Seamus O’Regan, regarding immigrants and job-creators. O’Regan tweeted “no, we just need more job creators. Immigrants are better at creating new businesses and new jobs than Canadian-born people. Simple.” We get Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe’s opinion on the comments, and Roy shares his thoughts on O’Regan’s apology.
