Next week PM Justin Trudeau and the premiers will work toward a new funding model with billions more dollars flowing from Ottawa to the provinces in a formula similar to what Paul Martin promised would fix healthcare for a generation 3 years ago. How will additional billions of dollars directed by the federal government to its provincial counterparts, to be administered by the same bureaucracies improve a terribly broken delivery healthcare delivery system?
and remember in 2005 the Canadian Medical Association approved a motion calling for the availability of private health insurance and services when timely public healthcare is not available.
