The abuse of horses being shipped for slaughter from Canada to Japan. A court action is underway as the Canadian Horse Defence Coalition is demanding the CFIA (Canadian Food Inspection Agency) use its powers under the Health of Animals Act to protect horses from injuries and death while being transported. The Minister of Agriculture and Agri Food refuses to acknowledge the suit has merit.
