During the 2018 midterm elections in the U.S., Residents of the State of Washington said "no way, no thanks" to a state-wide carbon tax for a second time. This was decided by a referendum question on the ballot. This even though politicians and pundits insisted such a tax was good for them. What did residents of the perhaps most progressive state in the U.S. fear about a carbon tax?
