Show Notes

American chronic pain patients are receiving great support from very credible national organizations. Just in the last month the CDC Guidelines (which Canada's opioid guidelines are modeled on) urging mandated tapering and deprescribing of opiates for pain have been challenged by the American Medical Association, the FDA, the U.S. Surgeon General and even the CDC. Each has said the CDC Guidelines on opiates for chronic pain patients has pointlessly distressed, harmed and killed patients.
Now he Chronic Pain Association of Canada is calling on the Cdn gov to stop punishing pain patients by forced-tapering or denying patients their long prescribed opioid pain medication and a letter has been sent to the federal Minister of Health.

Guest: Barry Ulmer.  Executive Director Chronic Pain Association of Canada
