Show Notes
The College of Physicians and Surgeons of British Columbia issued a news release in which it instructs B.C. doctors to not refuse chronic pain patients and to not refuse prescribing opioid pain medication to such patients, because to do so violates human rights law.
Meanwhile, the Institute for Clinical Evaluative Sciences released a study concerning newly prescribed opioids. The study was led by Dr. Tara Gomes and included Dr. David Juurlink. But Huff Post Canada medical writer Marvin Ross has discovered incorrect information in the study.
