Show Notes
Last week, the leader of Ontario’s Progressive Conservative party resigned following allegations of sexual misconduct. Shortly after, a Liberal federal cabinet minister also resigned due to allegations of sexual misconduct.
Yesterday, former Liberal MP Michelle Simson told Roy that political parties warn women MPs during orientation to figuratively “keep your elbows up”. She added that if you were the victim of sexual harassment, you were encouraged to “keep your mouth shut”.
Guest: Alise Mills, President of Contact Communication in Vancouver, was a communications adviser for political parties and party leaders on Parliament Hill in Ottawa for 20 years
