Alberta Premier spoke with me Friday about the letter sent to Trudeau, about the contentious Bills C-69 and C-48, about Quebec and Kenney's meeting with QC Premier Francois Legault earlier in the week at which Quebec's resistance to additional pipelines carrying Alberta oil/bitumen, equalization payments.
Quebec Premier Francois Legault is driving two controversial pieces of legislation through to conclusion this weekend. New QC immigration legislation (Bill 9), as well as the secularism iegislation (Bill 21). The Immigration bill was adopted yesterday. The secularism bill will be passed today. Bill 21 will ban officials in positions of authority from wearing religious symbolism.
The City of Victoria has backed down from its "insulting cheap shot at veterans over Remembrance Day spending" (Mike Smyth).
Canada's MPs to get 1 year of fully paid parental leave.
