"A history of pandemics Today and Yesterday." Article by Professor James Harris of Ohio State University whose specialties include the history of infectious diseases. We concentrate on the so-called "Spanish Flu" of a century ago. How governments acted/reacted to the H1N1 virus which claimed at least 50 million lives worldwide between 1918-20. The lessons learned and are there lessons learned 100 years ago which would help today.
