Coach Gainey’s coaching background ranges in various roles at NC State, following his playing career, Elon University, Justin Gainey is the current Associate Head Coach at Tennessee. Coach Gainey’s coaching background ranges in various roles at NC State, following his playing career, Elon University, Appalachian State, Marquette, Santa Clara and currently, the University of Tennessee. Gainey has been known for his tremendous defensive and recruiting strategies while helping his guards to excel on their perimeter play, helping the Vols to number 5 in the AP poll and recording numerous wins against top 10 nationally ranked teams.
