Russ Pierre is just one of those guys that's a pleasure to sit and chat with. Russ and I met at Freedom Ride back in July and I just knew I had to get him on the podcast. Russ was one of the founders of Upgrade Bikes and witnessed first hand the formation of DMR back in 1995. He has also worked as a professional surf photographer and helped rehabilitate veterans suffering with PTSD. Russ is currently writing a book called The Trailhead Project which documents the effects mountain biking can have on living a healthy lifestyle physically and mentally.
