Along the way, he faces off against Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Watchmen, Candyman), a vengeful mercenary with cutting-edge Atlantean tech. The film also features Nicole Kidman (Moulin Rouge!, Big Little Lies) as Arthur’s mother Queen Atlanna, Dolph Lundgren (Rocky IV, The Expendables) as King Nereus, Temuera Morrison (The Mandalorian, Once Were Warriors) as Arthur’s father Tom Curry, Randall Park (Fresh Off the Boat, WandaVision) as Dr. Stephen Shin, Ludi Lin (Power Rangers, Marco Polo) as Captain Murk, and the voice of Dame Julie Andrews (The Sound of Music, Mary Poppins) as the monstrous sea guardian Karathen. Packed with stunning visuals, underwater battles, the epic Ring of Fire duel, and the climactic final war between kingdoms, Aquaman became a billion-dollar success and one of the DCEU’s most visually ambitious entries.
