Tara Erickson & Aaron Alexander continue their journey through Netflix’s intense Japanese survival thriller Alice in Borderland with episodes 7 and 8. The series, based on Haro Aso’s manga, follows Arisu (Kento Yamazaki – Kingdom, Your Lie in April), a disillusioned young man who finds himself trapped in a deserted Tokyo where players must compete in deadly games to survive. Alongside him is Usagi (Tao Tsuchiya – Orange, Rurouni Kenshin: The Final), a fearless climber who becomes his closest ally. In episodes 7 and 8, the deadly “Witch Hunt” game inside the Beach resort escalates into chaos. With Niragi (Dori Sakurada – Let’s Go Jets!) turning violent and the group fracturing, Arisu must use his intellect to uncover the truth behind the witch’s identity. Mira Kano (Riisa Naka – Nodame Cantabile) steps further into the spotlight as one of the enigmatic leaders pulling the strings, while Chishiya (Nijirō Murakami – Still the Water) manipulates events from the shadows. These episodes deliver some of the most shocking twists of the season, including betrayals, explosive action sequences, and a brutal climax that changes the players’ understanding of the Borderland forever. With jaw-dropping visuals, relentless tension, and emotional revelations, episodes 7 and 8 set the stage for the thrilling conclusion of Season 1.
