Show Notes
In this episode The Reclamation Hour, we covered a variety of spirit attachments from across cultures.
We want to take a moment to acknowledge something important about the recent episode where Wndigos and Sknwalkers were mentioned.
These beings come from sacred Indigenous teachings — particularly from Algonquian and Diné (Navajo) nations — and they hold deep cultural and spiritual significance. They aren’t “cryptids” in the Western sense, but moral and ceremonial teachings that belong to those communities.
Conversations about entities and cultural origins can be deeply nuanced. We felt some hesitation about including these beings in the discussion, knowing that in their original contexts, their names are not spoken outside of ceremony. At the same time, Kate has had her own direct experiences through her spiritual and entity-removal work, and we wanted to hold space for that perspective while trusting her integrity in how she shares.
That said, we recognize that even with pure intentions, naming these beings publicly can cross spiritual boundaries that are not ours to navigate. Moving forward, we will focus on sharing our own personal experiences and encounters with energetic entities — without referencing closed teachings or naming beings that belong to Indigenous traditions.
With love and reverence,
Kate and Alexandra
