Moving the Goal Posts at the Federal Reserve [2/25/21]

Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell this week let it slip that the Fed is not happy with the results of previous rounds of quantitative easing, and will instead alter the parameters by which the body determines what is or isn't inflation and employment. It's a little...no, it's a LOT like changing the rules in the middle of a game if the outcome doesn't look promising for your team. Example: The Fed has decided to ignore the data in M-2 money supply. Historic data suggests nothing the Fed has ever done has benefitted the economy.
