Markets continue to escalate on premise that as long as the Fed is involved, things will be fine. There is still concern inflation will be a problem for the economy. The "i-word" is now showing up in companies' earnings reporting. Inflation concerns are showing up in household surveys, too. Economic growth is expected to peak this quarter, and the Financial Conditions Index is on "easy," which usually preludes a tightening cycle in rates.
