Show Notes

(4/6/23) Gold has enjoyed a lot of media attention as it has had a nice run, of late, breaking out above $1,900 to touch $2,000. But Gold is now a bit over-bought, signaling time to perhaps take a little bit of profit if you're long Gold. The last time we saw this scenario, Gold corrected from $1,960 to about $1,750. And as markets have continued on an upward trend since October's lows, Gold has correlated to equities more than any other. Note: The idea of Gold as a risk diversifier really hasn't been the case; it's still more of a speculative trade. When trading commodities, remember that they do not pay dividends, so purchase for price and capital appreciation. We're looking at ten-year treasury notes (TLT) as potential spots to place profits; perhaps the best thing about treasuries is that you'll get your money back, unlike other asset trades.
