7-25-24 Will the Correction Reach 5%?

We've gone about 350-days since the last 2% correction...until yesterday. Markets fell 2.3% Wednesday, breaking through the 20-DMA to test the 50-DMA. The current sell signal is putting pressure on the market. We've been saying for some time that we're due for a 5% correction; we are now in that process...whether it continues remains to be seen. Market is now sitting on the 50-DMA; if it goes up, it will retest new highs, and this correction will be over. If the market breaks lower, the next level of support is the 100-DMA. This is all a repeat of the action we saw back in April, but we're now in that time of the year in which the correction process is usually in place. We also look at emerging markets, international markets, and the Russell 2000.
