This phenomenon is best understood as a profound cultural rebalancing. Participants in these revivals are selectively extracting the most valuable elements from the hobbies of their youth—authenticity, tangible skill, creative freedom, and genuine community—and consciously integrating them into their modern, digitally-saturated lives. This is the OSR (Old-School Renaissance / Revival / Resistance / Rebellion / Resurgence)!
