I'm in High Point, North Carolina. A small city, known as The Furniture Capital of the World. Not only do they have the world's largest furniture store, but they also host a large furniture market twice a year, where the city's population almost is doubled when 70-80,000 people come to the city. Another thing that High Point is known for is to produce the iconic American yellow school buses.
I'm going to be housesitting a month here. I was connected to Davina van Buren via TrustedHousesitters.com. She's the owner of a house, two dogs and a lot of plants that I have to take care of. After the first week, Davina returned to the house and asked me to drive her to the Blue Ridge Mountains in Virginia. It's a couple of hours north of High Point, and I thought it would be a good time to talk to her about the city, about the state and herself.
