McLaren’s new blockbuster Indianapolis 500 driver-signing Kyle Larson has triggered a special episode of The Race IndyCar Podcast this week.
NASCAR champion Larson is known for his ability and desire to race in as many different series and disciplines as possible, and that portfolio will expand as he and NASCAR team owner Rick Hendrick team up with McLaren for a 2024 Indy 500 entry.
Regular co-hosts JR Hildebrand and Jack Benyon break down what we know about the move so far, discussing what Larson could achieve in the event given his unique skillset.
The duo also discuss what Larson's biggest challenges might be racing in IndyCar - especially given he'll also race in NASCAR on the same day as the Indy 500 - and how his results might affect future crossovers.
