Quick Stop 110: FORMULA 1 IS IN FASHION W/ ELIZA HUBER

Welcome to the Quick Stop F1 Podcast! Tasha is hosting this week’s episode, and she is joined by her guest, Senior Fashion Editor at WhoWhatWear, and F1 enthusiast Eliza Huber. They discuss how the NBA’s mandatory and racist dress code in 2005 became the unexpected catalyst for the boom in self-expression amongst professional athletes in the subsequent years. Basketball players showed that fashion could not only be fun, but also lucrative, with brands clamoring to dress the players and give them endorsements. The league itself saw an increase in fans, as the players gained more mainstream exposure, and a new business model was created. Formula 1 has the same opportunity for growth—both financially and culturally—through fashion. Currently, Lewis Hamilton is carrying that torch, and paving the way for everyone behind him to strut their personal style all the way to the bank.

Articles Mentioned in this episode:

https://www.whowhatwear.com/fashion/celebrity/celebrity-style/nba-formula-one-entrance-fashion

https://www.whowhatwear.com/formula-one-female-content-creators

https://www.whowhatwear.com/formula-one-fashion

Find Eliza Huber’s Past Articles: https://www.whowhatwear.com/author/eliza-huber

Eliza Huber on Twitter: https://twitter.com/elizagracehuber/status/1762552209328251015

Eliza Huber on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/elizagracehuber/?hl=en

https://www.instagram.com/thepinnacleoffashion/?hl=en

https://www.instagram.com/f1paddockfits/?hl=en

Shop for Quick Stop merch at - www.quickstopf1.com

Join our Patreon - www.patreon.com/QuickStopF1

We are a small independent podcast and we really rely on every review on Apple podcasts and share, so please share us as far and wide as you can and remember to leave a review!
