Description
Returning guest Norman Mitchell joins Joe to discuss Death and Mao Xiaolian from the comic book series East of West. Written by Jonathan Hickman with art by Nick Dragotta, East of West tells a post/pre-apocalyptic story that mashes several genres together. Topics of discussion include the use of time in comic book storytelling, the use of tropes in the story, and the incredible amount of world building that is accomplished in the first five issues.
