In this episode, Rob speaks to Laura Darling who is a Group Executive at Star Group Property, where she works directly with the MD. Laura started her property career, while still at school. She has hands-on experience in most aspects of the property industry. Currently, she is a key part of a team that manages a property portfolio which is valued at £65 million. One that includes commercial as well as residential properties abroad.
Laura explains what it was like to be a young mother working in what was, at the time, almost exclusively male. She shares details of how she coped with some of the extra challenges she faced. Then, talks about how working in property has changed and how women can get started and thrive in the industry.
