KEY TAKEAWAYS

  1. Property Sourcing: This is where you’re the middleman between the investor and the seller. You can source all different types of property, depending on your investors requirements.
  2. Project Management: You can manage someone else’s properties for them, especially if they are not local to their properties’ areas. It’s a good way to supplement your sourcing too.
  3. Buying and Holding: This is a long-term strategy in which you buy and hold the property whilst the value of it increases.
  4. Flipping or Trading: Buy a property, add value and sell on to make a profit. It’s a good way to get larger chunks of money.
  5. Lettings: Lettings can be a good way to add a supplementary service. You may have to jump through quite a few hoops but once you’re up and running, it can be very profitable.
  6. Orientation/Investor days: When someone starts out in property, they will want to know more about particular areas they are wanting to invest in. You can provide the relevant information to them.
  7. Write Books: Writing books is a brilliant way to add value. Rob was able to add value and give back to people by writing a book – please read on for the links to buy.
  8. Classroom Training: A lot of people are divided on this but if you do it ethically and true then it’s a good idea.
  9. One-on-One Mentoring: Find someone to help and guide through the property process – you can teach them your knowledge but also learn from their mistakes to develop your own skills and knowledge.
