In a new installment of ‘Conversations with Lalaa presented by The Progress Report’, Lalaa Shepard converses with the legendary DJ Scream about his upbringing and contributions to the Hip Hop culture. DJ Scream is the co-founder of Hoodrich Entertainment, an official Maybach Music Group (MMG) DJ, owner of Hoodrich Radio, and one of the most notorious DJs in the urban culture. During the sit down conversation, DJ Scream recalls falling in love with the art of being a DJ and tells a story of how his parents met at a record store. Scream appreciated how DJs could control a room but still was able to maintain a low profile, motivating him to pursue a career as a DJ. “Atlanta was the club capital” DJ Scream DJ Scream has hosted hundreds of mixtapes and counting. He has helped launch the careers of several artists dating back to crunk music, snap music, and eventually trap music.
