The Prepared Mindset Podcast

This week I discuss so more prepping, and we talk about the situation we as Americans are facing, in regards to the possible fallout from the Election. Rioting and Looting have almost become "normalized" and the public is quickly losing it's outrage over this behavior. Will we see something similar after the results of the presidential election are announced?

My wife Lexy joins me this week, to discuss with me the growing number of new female firearms owners. More specifically, we talk about her experiences, what led her to buying his first gun, the concerns and considerations that women face in everyday carry that most men don't know or have to think about.

With gun purchases at all time highs, and so many Americans out buying their first firearms, we're taking a look at my purchases, the what's, and the why's. I walk through my various purchases, talk about my reasons and rationale behind each purchase at the time, and hopefully help some of you with your first purchases!

A topic and word thrown around a lot today, is Fascism. Sam and I sit down and talk about the origin of the term, what it really means, how it truly applies to "today" and how people around us apply it to the world they're living in today.

This week, I talk about the start of hunting season, my first delve into the "other side" of the firearms world, and how much i learned in my short time spent in Northern Michigan this past weekend with my friends Jake and Ryan, getting prepared for the opening of Hunting season here in the Mitten.

Another SITREP coming at you, discussing a few BIG occurrences that have happened over the past two weeks, approximately. I talk about the open supreme court seat, the decision in the Breonna Taylor case, and a bit more.

With hunting season officially starting here in Michigan next weekend, i brought my friend Jake on to talk, well.... Hunting! We talk bows, rifles, deer, elk, and a ton more!!

This week, we take a look at what should go into your thinking, planning, and prep, for heading out on the open road, now that restrictions and lockdowns are being lifted across the country. We look at a few scenarios, and touch on everything from a modified EDC to how your situational awareness will change.

This week, i have my good friend Spencer on, to discuss being prepared medically, the supplies he carries, what I carry, and what you as a concerned individual should have. We also touch on training, and resources to be ready when you may find yourself in a unfortunate situation.

The first of our SITREP segments we're rolling out. We discuss major current events, specifically around some interpretation of legal/illegal militia, the 2nd amendment, as well as some perception of the pro-2A community by the general public.

Sam is back, and we spend time this week talking about supporting kit and gear to go along with your firearm and survival setup. Everything from slings to helmets, we touch on it all, and dish on our own setups and rationale.

We take a turn from some of the more serious topics lately, to enjoy discussing some of our favorite movies and tv shows that got us going down this path as kids, and that we still enjoy now as adults!

On this episode, we discuss the recent reversal of the capacity ban in California, and take a trip through time discussion american gun control legislation while sharing some thoughts and opinions on how those have impacted our world.

This week, we have my good friend Ryan on, joining me to discuss hunting and fishing, and how the outdoorsman lifestyle overlaps with the defense shooting lifestyle i lead. We talk about what it means to be "radical" in today's world, and if it really applies to the prepared mindset. Is it really radical, or is it just a misused term by today's media to classify those who think differently than the mainstream?

We discuss the social and societal stigmas, and myths, that surround the prepared and pro-2A lifestyle. Examining things like the media, institutionalized beliefs, and out and out myths regarding firearm ownership, and being prepared to defend yourself.

Lexy joins me this week, as we discuss the lockdown, panic buying of homegoods, and how you can best be prepared utilizing some less conventional items and cleaners, as well as talking food prep and storage.

On this weeks pod, we discuss the concept of everyday carry, and the "EDC community", what it means for us, what it means for you, and share some thoughts and insight regarding lights, phones, holsters, and everything in between.
