Hey everybody, welcome to the Powered By Rock Podcast.
It’s my pleasure to be speaking with Brian of the L.A. rock band Record Year today.
Record Year has been sporadically playing shows and making music since its creation about 6 years ago, but what’s really exciting about these guys is that they have a batch of new songs that take their music into brand new territory…and I don’t just mean for themselves, but I honestly think the music is unlike anything I have ever heard, and the best way I can describe it is Bruno Mars mixed with Turnstile or something to that effect.
Their latest single “I Love That For You” was released in February of this year, and you can hear backup vocals, trumpets, and just an absolute banging chorus that will make you want to get up and knock shit over.
