Steve Goodman was a Chicago-based brilliant singer-songwriter that swam in the same early sorta country sorta Gonzo waters with the likes of John Prine, Kris Kristofferson, David Bromberg, Waylon Jennings, Bob Dylan, and even Paul Anka had a hand in his career. He was a unique talent, admired by all his peers, and gifted with an incredible ability to inspire, entertain, and think. He left us too soon but he left us a gorgeous body of work, which we'll dip into in this episode.
