We talk about his early days discovering music through his family, what influence being from a smaller town, his ultra-cool mother and all the rock stars of the day had on him, his first steps into bands, recording and songwriting. We cover a lot of ground in this Part 1 of 2. How he was invited to replace a newly departed Lenny Kravitz in a Capital Records project, his move to Philly and eventually the steps that led up to his debut album in 1992.
