Show Notes

Charlie Craggs is never afraid to speak her mind; in doing so she has not just become one of the UK's most influential people but has also inspired generations of people as they navigate what identity means to them.

As the companion in the BBC podcast "Doctor Who: Redcated", Charlie became just the second transgender companion in Doctor Who's history - an achievement which came after huge moments, including fronting the BBC documentary "Transitioning Teens", being recognised in the Independent's "Rainbow List" and leading the Observer's "New Radicals" list.

In this episode of The Pieces, Bimini and Charlie talk about providing empowerment through humour, her projects like Nail Transphobia and Charlie's Self Defence Angels and the reality of safety as a Trans person in the UK. In a wide-ranging conversation, they also talk about online hate and reforming the justice system.
