Show Notes

In the latest episode of the Pick Six Podcast, Sam McKewon, Evan Bland and Tom Shatel break down why Saturday's No. 1 Nebraska-No. 2 Wisconsin volleyball match feels so much bigger and the various factors that make it feel like the sport's "Match of the Century".

The guys discuss how vastly the sport of volleyball has grown, and how TV networks are beginning to treat women's sports as a whole before debating whether big matches such as this weekend's should move to a new time slot rather than the current Saturday night format.

The trio then move on to previewing the Husker football game and what Matt Rhule's messages throughout the last few weeks mean for the program big picture-wise in what is a constant 'fishbowl' setting where every quote and move is magnified.

The three debate what the team's expectations should be in the second half and how NU will look in a winnable game as a heavy home favorite.

The episode wraps up with the crew making their Week 8 picks.

Support the show: https://www.omaha.com/

See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
