Show Notes

Terrible menstrual cycles have been perpetually normalized.

From a young age, we’re told that it’s a fact of life that periods just suck. PMS, period pain, and all these other symptoms are part and parcel of being a menstruating person. This belief is compounded when we seek help for these issues and no sustainable solutions are offered.

But it doesn’t have to be that way.

Once you stop viewing your period problems as your body punishing you for no reason, you can put yourself in the driver's seat and become an active participant in supporting, improving, and maintaining your health.

Today I’m breaking some common period myths and exploring whether we really need to have one. In a world where this is a controversial topic, I’m committed to giving you nothing but the truth about periods and hormones so you can make informed decisions about your body.

In this episode, I talk about what it means to have a true period, how ovulation contributes to your overall health and wellbeing, the role of sex hormones in your non-reproductive health, why your menstrual cycle is a vital sign, and so much more!
