Show Notes

In today's episode of The People's Scientist podcast, we are doing things a little bit differently, as I interview a guest scientist, Dr. Dennis Charney, on the topic of resilience, AKA the ability to bounce back. Dr. Charney is a physician, scientist, and the Dean of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Hospital. Dr. Charney is an expert on the science of resilience and mental toughness. His research has been cited over 150,000 times and he is the co-author of the book, Resilience: The Science of Mastering Life's Greatest Challenges. In today's episode, we discuss the role of our genetics, particular brain regions, and examples of how we can increase our resilience starting today. For more details and to see the research articles we elude to, make sure to follow me on social media.
