Electrochemically ionized water produces a rich source of atomic hydrogen. This is particularly popular in Japan. A lot of cell culture and animal studies illustrate that atomic hydrogen sequesters the particularly deleterious reactive oxygen species and does not affect normal homeostatic redox reactions in the body.
