The plaintiff says the defendant is her ex-boyfriend and he kicked her out of the house. She claims he slammed a car door on her and damaged her car mirror, so she’s suing for the cost of the repairs. The defendant says he kicked the door shut and knocked the mirror because the plaintiff tends to be violent and he was trying to protect himself. Then, the plaintiffs say they rented a house to the defendant, who never disclosed that he smoked. When he moved out, they had to spend money to get rid of the terrible nicotine smell, burn marks, and permanent marker on the walls. They’re suing for the cost. The defendant says he doesn’t understand why he’s being sued because they used to be best friends. He claims he only smoked outside and denies causing damage.
