The plaintiff says she used to rent a room from the defendant, but she secretly installed a video camera to spy on her. She says her rights have been violated, so she’s suing her former roommate for rent. The defendant says the plaintiff ripped down a security camera in a common area after the police told her to put one up. She’s filed a countersuit for past-due rent and property damage. Then, the plaintiff says he rented a U-Haul for the defendant and her kids because he felt bad about an impending eviction, but she kept it for three additional days. He’s suing for the money owed. The defendant says the truck was towed and the plaintiff posted her picture on social media calling her a thief. She’s countersuing for defamation.
