The defendant says the insurance check got stolen and the plaintiff paid the repair shop on his own. The plaintiff says he rented space in the defendant’s warehouse, and the man let people in who ransacked the place. In addition, the defendant tossed out his belongings, so he’s suing for the value. The defendant says the rental area was an open space. He claims the plaintiff stopped paying rent and abandoned his stuff. He’s countersuing for the cost of removing the plaintiff’s items.
